An Alternative Paper for Copic Coloring
Updated: Sep 2, 2018
I just want to share with you what kind of paper I use for my copic coloring. I've been asked a couple of times in my IG account. Although I also bought papers recommended by my fellow crafters overseas (e.g., Neenah Solar White), I wanted something more affordable and available locally here in Manila. I went to National Bookstore and bought a few smooth-surfaced paper boards. Bevania Spendorgel, white, 270 gsm, gave me the best result. The manufacturer is Prestige Paper Products (just click the link to go to their website). I bought again a pack of 10 sheets (8.5x11 inches) last month, Aug 2018, for around P44.00.
I visited their showroom at General Lim St., Heroes Hill, QC (just at the back of Fisher Mall) and found they also have 300 and 340 gsm sheets sold at 28x39.3 inches. These are great for one-layer cards. They sell these sheets at a minimum quantity (I think not less than 12 sheets). I asked them to cut it at 8.5x11 inches for a nominal fee. People are nice and their showroom is air conditioned and well organized. Have you tried other local papers that work well with copic? Feel free to share it here.
